Generally, records are available 3 – 5 business days after an event is reported.
Responses to Record Requests will be made during normal business hours, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. excluding legal holidays.

Cost
Crash reports are now available at no cost online from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Crash Reports From Our Office:
Cash, check, or money order should be made out to Hancock County Sheriff. Sorry, no debit or credit cards... nothing electronic!
- Accident report, witness statements, Narratives: $4.00.
- Photos (provided on HCSO disc) $4.00.
- Photos (on requestor’s disc) are available at no charge.

- Location of incident
- Sheriff’s Office Report Number
- Date of the incident or time frame
- Name of a person involved in the incident
- Deputy’s name
