Year 2006 Statistics

Many restorative programs are offered to offenders inside the Hancock County Justice Center.  We currently offer 14 different programs for inmates to explore and expand their personal opportunities in preparation for life outside of jail.  The individual programs and the participation for each program for year 2006 is as follows:

  • Alcohol / Drug Intervention

  • Domestic Violence 

  • Inmate Worker Program

  • GED (male only)

  • Religious  

  • HCJC Library Visits

  • Library Books Issued

  • Off Site Mental Health Counseling

  • Mental Health Counseling

  • Off-Site Medical Care

  • Literacy

  • Emotions Management Group

  • Car Wash / Wax

The medical needs of our population are well cared for at the Hancock County Justice Center.  In year 2006 there were 2,016 doctor visits, 2,353 prescriptions filled, 122 inmates referred for mental health.
